Cocaine And Cigarettes Caused Whitney Houston's Throat Problems That Greatly Damaged Her Singing Voice

The week the late Whitney Houston died, she was suffering from cocaine induced laryngitis, which explains the poor state of her singing voice, while on stage with friend Kelly Price, at a club in Los Angeles, California. It also explains the Amoxicillin antibiotic medication in her hotel room. Cocaine damages vocal cords and nasal passages that constitute a vital part of singing. It also weakens the immune system, opening up users to colds and infections.

The crime scene spoke for itself in the Houston case. The bruises on her head and being found face down in the tub indicated a fall (or at worst being struck, but I'm assuming surveillance tapes revealed no intruders to her hotel suite or it would have been mentioned). The bruises on her forehead should have matched up to a surface of the bathtub.

The cocaine residue, drug spoon and mirror, along with rolling papers found at the scene, coupled with the marijuana detected in her system, indicates Houston was unable to kick her addictive habit of rolling crack cocaine and marijuana in joints and smoking them, as revealed by the singer in 2009, in an interview with talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

Houston also sniffed cocaine when she did not have the time to prepare it in a marijuana joint, hence the hole in her nose, detected by the coroner. Many cocaine users have required reconstructive surgery to rebuild the interiors of their noses, as the drug is so powerful and corrosive it eats the tissue, cartilage, membrane, flesh and skin. Houston also struggled with cigarette smoking, which damages vocal chords and promotes cancer.

Houston was not deliberately trying to destroy her voice, which was an amazing and unique gift from God. She fell in with the wrong people, developed a drug habit and it consumed her. However, I write this not to put her down, because she was one of my favorite singers growing up, as her voice was so astounding and she one of the most beautiful women in the world, that so many young girls such as myself admired. I write this because new singers are coming up now and will be offered drugs by partying loving folks in the entertainment industry, just like Houston was and hopefully this warning will act as a deterrent.

Leolah Brown, the former sister-in-law of Whitney Houston, has gone on record stating, she believes rapper and reality star, Ray J, supplied the singer with the cocaine that caused her to overdose and die last month at the age of 48. Leolah's contentions on the Dr. Drew Show this past Thursday, March 22, 2012, supports what the Judiciary Report stated last month within two days of Houston dying - Ray J bears culpability in her death.

Leolah, who was Houston's former assistant, stated Whitney referred to Ray J as her "runner boy" which is slang for someone that gets drugs. Brown does not believe the two were dating, but a sexual relationship did develop and Houston was later seen kissing Ray J in public.

Bobby Brown's sister, Leolah, is stating someone (Ray J) gave Houston a "bad bag" of "cocaine" and it killed her. The question is will the Houston estate pursue legal action against Ray J for wrongful death. It is unlikely, due to all he knows and what he might go public with if sued, but such legal action has happened in past cases. One thing is for sure, Houston and her beautiful voice will be sorely missed.

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is struggling with very poor ratings at her OWN network, which is expected to lose "$143,000,000" this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the network is suffering from "miniscule" ratings, even though it has received "$312,000,000" in funding from parent company Discovery.

The network has not connected with the public and the majority of its shows are failing. Winfrey left prime time television to focus on the cable network, but it has not been her strong suit and is a costly venture. Recently, Winfrey axed the awful Rosie O'Donnell show, which received very low viewing numbers and laid off 30 people, including the company's Chief Financial Officer.

She left the impoverished African nation starving and without the promised school.

Malawi has been angered all over again, as Madonna recently announced she will build 10 schools in their nation, looking for more charity donations from the public, to pocket the funds all over again. This week, Malawi's government declared, Madonna is running roughshod over them and has no permit to build 10 schools.

She created such a fiasco with the first school that has yet to materialize, by psychotically bulldozing an entire village of homes, only to leave the poor without a roof over the heads and no school for their children, to show for it. Madonna is a depraved racist that thinks black people are slaves.

They never should have agreed to anything with that sick madwoman, who only cares about herself. However, her excuse going around in the entertainment industry is that "I just needed the money to tie me over for the time being" because her career has been in a tailspin for over a decade.

Oprah Winfrey's interview with the late Whitney Houston's family aired yesterday and while it was touching and confirmed a few details regarding the singer's death, it was not particularly revealing. Items that were confirmed include the Judiciary Report's contentions on February 13, 2012, February 16, 2012 and March 10, 2012 that Houston, 48 and Ray J, 31 were romantically involved and that it was a bad idea (even though he now claims they were just friends).

Houston's sister-in-law and manager, Pat Houston, stated to Winfrey, she saw the singer dangerously "chasing a dream" of a "young man" that likes to be "out and about" and an "older woman" that likes to "stay home." This was indeed a reference to Ray J and Houston's tumultuous relationship and 17-year age difference.

I think Houston took a liking to Ray J because he is a bad boy and looks like her ex-husband Bobby Brown (they are both male singers with goatees, similar complexions and physical builds). I don't particularly think she liked being a "cougar" which is slang for an older woman dating a younger man, but she transferred her feelings for bad boy Brown to Ray J.

However, Ray J, like Brown, is promiscuous and broke her heart. But with Ray J, Houston had to deal with the age difference making her feel old and one of his irate girlfriends, Stacy Francis, 41, from Fox/Sony's "X-Factor" stalking her to the club and repeatedly confronting her in an unpleasant manner, two days before her death. Pat Houston spoke of Francis following them all over the club in a manner they deemed uncomfortable and confrontational (is everyone on or affiliated with Sony a stalker - do they give them stalking classes or something).

The incident regarding Ray J and Stacy Francis definitely depressed Houston and made her feel old, adding to her worries about her vocal woes and forthcoming album. You could see it on her face in pictures, as she exited the club that she was sad and upset.

It was just another reminder that Ray J, who she was enamored with, was not going to be faithful to her and had his iron in several fires. Unfaithful people like Ray J need to realize their promiscuity hurts others and sometimes in ways they could not imagine. If you are not serious about someone nor do you intend to be faithful, don't lead the person on.

The week Houston died, she was contemplating getting plastic surgery, but failed the physical, due to damage to her system from years of heavy smoking, drinking and drug use. She was a prime candidate for cardiac arrest on the operating table during plastic surgery.

However, she really didn't need plastic surgery, just some gentle detox to reduce toxins in her system (from smoking, drinking and drugs), skin rejuvenation and Pilates, to be back to her best, as she had aged very well. She had no wrinkles or crows feet and her face still looked tight.

But when you date a man nearly two decades your junior, it will convince you that you need plastic surgery, even when you do not. It will convince you that you need a face lift, lip injections, botox, breast implants, butt tightening and butt silicone injections.

Before long you'll look like Frankenstein. Being in Hollywood makes it worse, where even women in their twenties like Megan Fox and Heidi Montag are damaging their looks with excessive plastic surgery. Hollywood destroys people's self-image into a look that is not often better than what they had before.

Another interesting point of the interview was that Houston daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, showed is trying to persevere through grief. However, talking to a deceased loved one is not a great idea, as the Bible says people are not to communicate with the dead. Emotionally, it also delays achieving closure.

Bobbi Kristina Brown also confirmed items the Judiciary Report wrote about her intent to pursue a singing and acting career. She stated in the interview with Winfrey that she seeks to carry on her mother's legacy. Just so long as she does not put too much pressure on herself or tries to become her mother, which is what some in the industry expect of her. God made everyone unique. Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has announced she is scheduled to interview Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of the late singer, Whitney Houston, who died last month in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Since Houston's passing, there has been an enormous amount of speculation in the press and incendiary stories about the family, much of which had to have deeply hurt them. Some of the press stories are true, but some are outright lies.

Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, created controversy of his own after her death, angrily walking out on the singer's funeral before it even started. 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown was also hospitalized twice in hours proceeding her mother's tragic death.

With the family's long history of substance abuse and what has been written about it, there is much they most likely want to expound on in the interview. Considering how the younger Brown broke down in the hours after her mother's death, the interview is going to be quite sad.

Oprah Winfrey quit the major networks to focus on her own channel called OWN, but it has been struggling, due to very poor ratings. Many are stating Winfrey is hoping the aforementioned interview will be a ratings coup, but I doubt it will be enough to revive the network on a long term basis.

Two days ago, I watched Oprah Winfrey's 2009 interview with the late singer, Whitney Houston, for the first time and was saddened by how badly she was being treated in her marriage to singer Bobby Brown, who hit and spit on her. In the interview, Houston also stated she began using "rock cocaine" (crack cocaine) right after she got married Bobby Brown, in what was clearly a physically and emotionally abusive relationship.

The two would get high together, using his preference of crack cocaine and marijuana, rolled into a spliff (joint). She further stated, in the midst of the escalated substance abuse that occurred with her marriage, when things had become really bad in her relationship with Brown, her dad, John Houston, died. Houston said she used drugs even more at that juncture.

Now that she has passed, here's hoping her daughter will not make the same mistake and turn to more frequent and aggressive forms of drug abuse to forget the pain and grief, as she could end up overdosing and dying, which is not what her mother would want for her. Both Bobbi and Bobby are in danger of losing their lives to alcohol and drug abuse. They need to face this reality head on and get sober or it's over.
